Potential Port Strike on October 1st

Impacting East and Gulf Coast Ports

We would like to inform our customers about a possible strike by the International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA), representing dockworkers on the East and Gulf Coasts.
This strike may begin on October 1st, following the expiration of the union’s contract on September 30th.

What this means:

  • Cargo at the ports will remain stationary until the strike is resolved.
  • Ships en route may be rerouted to alternative ports or returned to their origin.
  • Importers may incur additional costs due to rerouting or delays.

Many shippers are considering West Coast alternatives to minimize potential disruptions.

We are actively monitoring the situation and will provide updates as they become available.
