What’s Happening at the Port of Vancouver?
As of November 4th, 2024, the International Longshore and Warehouse Union Local 514 (ILWU Local 514) and the BC Maritime Employers Association (BCMEA) are involved in a coast-wide labor dispute. While the Port of Vancouver remains open, operations at specific terminals are impacted:

Auto sector: Operations are disrupted.
Breakbulk sector: Operations are disrupted.
Bulk sector: Grain operations and the Westshore coal terminal are unaffected, but other commodity operations are impacted.
